This was the month I began my sojourn to take a trip with my BFF to show her and how she is like her twin flame. I wanted to document all this so no one could ever say that these pictures came from somewhere or some other time. I wanted all to know that these are from the months I took them in and there was no trickery involved. Just the placement of the two pictures side by side and nothing more. So July was when I first began this. As we go along, I have chosen two pictures of the BFF/Gerry pictures that I created both for this site and also for the You Tube videos I made. I also then show a selection of four more pictures of her to show a few different views of her and in different settings. Again nullifying the same pictures over and over argument. With that said enjoy!
Here we are in the month of August of 2012. Good weather and some attempts with different photography styles, led to a variety of different shots with my camera phone. I must be honest I enjoyed taking both pictures of her in the Black and white and Sepia styles, as I think it brings out a certain classy nature in the shots. To many people I fear have seen so much color, that they no longer think B/W or Sepia as being artistic, but as "old fashioned", which it's not. Even found some amazing pictures of Gerry in the B/W style and it brings out not just his rugged looks, but a sense of class, style and some of the pain he is going through as well in those shots.
Well here we are, moving into the fall and some of the green of summer is still around, but beginning to change as well as a change in the settings. I wished to show the power and beauty of nature and God in these pictures, as well as adding the amazing Mr. Butler who God created very nicely. Also showcase the sweet playfulness of my BFF ,also created by God. Placing her in front of the waterfall, the rushing white water bringing out her black hair magnificently. Gerry on the other hand, is pictured in one shot in the city, which I think expresses the confusion and craziness of his lifestyle at this time, as well as later.
November and now winter's real bite in the air hits us. No longer could I take pictures of my BFF in lighter weight clothing. The need to bundle up had now arisen and had to be dealt with. It did bother me somewhat, as I was no longer able to show her shapely body. It also did not allow us as much time outside taking pictures, due to the coldness that would seep through our pores. Yes, not just the model freezes, but the one taking the pictures too was an icicle! We live in a non tropic area as you can see, thus the biting cold! *grin*
Well, the year had finally come too an end, but this did not mean that I was going to stop documenting the pictures of my "Bestie" or how she and Gerry were so alike. Just made it a bit harder to get good pictures since we do not hardly get any sun, once the summer passes into our rear view mirror. But being the kind of person I am, I made the best of what the outside gave to me (and yes this did involve a LOT of shivering on my part and hers as well.). Another thing I had to deal with was the lack of REAL natural light. Overcast and grey does not meet my best recommendations for "natural" light. You really need some sunlight to liven up a picture and since we did not get that, some of the pictures became almost over done with the light from the overcast, making things almost washed out. As I stated many times before, I have been taking these with a cell phone camera and am able to use only the options available to me on said phone. This means fixing the light settings went right out the window as an option.
